Germany’s King Ludwig Castles
Depart Bern for our three night transfer through pretty Bavarian countryside to the foothills of the German Alps and three of the most fantastic fairytale castles built by the eccentric Bavarian King Ludwig; romantic Neuschwanstein which was the model for Cinderella’s castle at Disney World, exquisite Linderhof Palace, and majestic Herrenchiemsee Palace, which was to be an exact copy of Versailles and half completed when King Ludwig died. Burgundy’s Medieval Castles & World Famous Vineyards
Lush Burgundy is the perfect place for our low level adventures by balloon, where late each afternoon our excursions will take us just-above-the-rooftops of 14th century castles, drifting peacefully through medieval market towns and world-class vineyards such as Montrachet, Mersault, and Pommard.  Our 5 day Burgundy experience includes visits to ancient wooden wine barrel cellars, fairytale Middle-Age fortresses, and medieval architectural treasures, with notable lunches and twilight dinner parties in the candlelit chambers of 14th a century castle.  Four nights at restored 18th century chateau, Hotel le Cep, Beaune.

Our drive from Burgundy to Bern winds us through gorgeous Beaujolais and Middle-Age settlements in the French and Swiss Alps to two of the most beautiful resort towns in the high Alps.  Arrive in the medieval resort town of Megeve at the foot of Europe/s tallest mountain, the towering Mont Blanc.  We’ll view the Vallee Blanche, a permanent winter-land scene of snowy peaks and shimmering crystal ice, descending into the vineyard-carpeted Rhone Valley and on to Zermatt, where a mountain train takes us from the flowered valley floor to the spectacular summer snowfields of the Gornergrat.  Traverse Switzerland’s loveliest high passes, Furka and Susten, with breathtaking views of the most beautiful, deep mountain valleys in the world.  Still ahead are Interlaken and skirting the scenic shores of Lakes Brienz and Thun before arriving Bern for our Swiss Summer balloon adventure.
